Because this is a place of traffic to continue because its location is very lively in the center of the country, it is better that you travel there than non-Arab Possible by Taxi
There is someone who is in his level and cleaner and more quantity and a better place than this random place
The right of Maak right Kashi Malhoush taste and non-objectionable, boiled boiled and dependent on the additions Tdelh taste, shops Ktir stronger and feed him
It's not like a monster I do not need you
The dish is 30 pounds
I was not worried about Uncle KFC
Actually, it tastes very ordinary but it only provides food
Excellent need is the taste of Koshari dish
Best Koshary
Brand 1 in Egypt
Famous oriental restaurant in Egypt. You can eat the famous meal called koshary
Loved this place. Loved the food and the service. Everything about this place is great. But they only serve koshari and that's what we wanted. And the prices are great.
First time I ate Koshary and it was amazing. First thing going in to the restaurant I noticed the smell of the food and really liked it. The food tasted exactly like it smelled! Great food!
A must visit everytime I visit Cairo. Best koshari I've ever had and generous portions!
I ate this kosheri and it's like complex pasta. Good but simple. And two kinds of puddings.
Good food, very busy, be patient to get a table, try the third floor or fourth floor if you are in good shape. Very economical place 9 people less than 350 pounds. Excellent service. You must stop by.
I don't know what the fuss is all about! The place is just normal and the koshary tastes below average ,you can have tastier koshary anywhere else for less price.. Definitely nothing special about Abou tarek
Tried Koshary for the first time in my life and I loved it. Dishes were served fast and you can’t beat the price!
Excellent koshary and best I've tasted in Egypt....amazing value for money ❤
Iconic place for egyptian koshary. It did not disappoint. Very unique mix of different ingredients which blend together nicely. the taste is best described as whole wheat italian pasta with tomato sauce and fried onions.
I had visited it once but this place has a history with this kind of food which called "El-akl El-Sha3by" in Egypt
Visited last day of our trip after reading lots of good everywhere, even our driver recommended and without any doubt was worth, not to be miss.Situated in downtown, just few min walk from Egyptian museum. We arrived around 4 pm ,that was not crowded and easily got the seat on 1st floor, they have 3 more floors,it's clean and service is fast, have to pay in advance and within 5 min Koshary package was at our table,go for special one, very reasonably priced, after the meal don't forget to have their another famous rice pudding.
Fine koshari, extremely fast service and clean.
You don't have to stress about what to order here because there's no choice. Koshary is the only main dish. Your choice is small, medium or large. Actually they also have a yummy rice pudding.
Absolutely LOVED this place. Came here after getting lost in Cairo and was so pleasantly surprised. All they sell is Koshari and they do it perfectly. Would especially recommend for travelers wanting to get an authentic Koshari. We paid 74 for 2 big meals and 2 drinks.
Its simple, just say Koshari. Is the most popular dish in Egypt. Contain Rice, two type of mini pasta, lentils and special tomato sauce
One of the best kushari in town.Good service and second floor sitting area.TV to watch football if there is any.Good price. You should pay after you order good for fast service and fast leaving you don't need to wait for bills
Visited last yearFrankly it looks ok as a restaurantHygien wise, staff had no gloves and it was low hygienLocation is within downtown region of Cairo
This cruise is not new, but room is clean, staff is friendly, Food is good, custom made omlett, hot soup, fresh pasta and delicious desert.
Friendly staff, great food and cheap. What more could you want. Really enjoyed my meal here.
Excellent koushary for an authentic filling meal. Their koushary is completely vegetarian, and tastes great! You add the spicy sauce yourself, so you can make it as hot as you like.
Nice place..dint expect it to be so big..we din know how to eat the kosier..the waiter was helpful enough to explain it to us. The rates are also pretty decent
The most expensive plate they have has a very few lentil. The taste was rather salty and the tomato sauce was average. Taste is going down.
-Overrated restaurant that provides some local dishes but without the real authentic taste.- tourists are all over the restaurant but unfortunately they're having one of the worst meals ever.- The waitresses will be roaming around the moment you finish your food and will be looking you on the eye so you get the feeling that you gotta get out which is completely unprofessional.
This place was amazing. They sell only one dish, kosheri, and simple, three sizes.Very good and very busy. This was my first introduction to the food and it was amazing.Extremely busy so you know it's where all the locals eat and very good
One of the famous Egyptian restaurants for serving Koshari and it is one of the most famous dishes in Egypt
they tried to rip us off since we were traveling. told us the price of the one dish was like five times the task price. luckily a local helped tell us the correct price before we ordered. then the waiter kept tricking us on change. always asks for cash upfront and then never gives change unless you ask three times. the first two times i got him eventually (ordered one before ordering more), but after i ordered a drink, i forgot because we were busy trying to figure out our schedule. he never gave me my change for that one and took all the money new originally tried to cheat us of back!!! start clear!!!!!
Yummy koshary, not far to walk from Tahrir. My friends first time to try it, so the Waite showed him how to assemble, which was nice.
Fun experience! Good food, traditional comfort food, waiter preps it in front of you. Cheap: 2 meals and a Pepsi for 67LE ($4USD).
They only have one dish but is so good! We ate there every day during our stay in Cairo. They explained us how to mix the sauce in it, but we needed to stop them on the spice sauce because I don't like too much spicy ;) if they don't give you lemon, ask for it: it sure gives a final touch to the dish. It is not expensive at all but they will look bad if you don't give them a nice tip, as everywhere in Egypt... I ordered the small size and was ok for me.
Fast service. Delicious food. Everything was explained and staff speaks English. Off the beaten trail. Highly recommend. Cheap prices!
Must have the experience at least once as the brand implies more than just food. You almost wait for no time until your food is served. You have to pay in advance tho even if you are dinning in!
Great place, delicious and simple food at an easily accessible downtown location. Affordable pricing. Koshary and rice pudding to die for!
Abu Tarek is definitely the place to eat Khosri in Cairo. Cheap, tasty, simple they serve the food quickly and with a smile. They only have three dishes...a small or large khoshri and rice pudding which is excellent as well. Make sure you add all the spices and sauces to the dish when proposed, just hold off on the hot sauce if you do not like it. A cultural well in Cairo.
only one item on menu. waiter asks you small medium or large. Great prices.
After we ate there on our first day, we simply didn't want to eat anybting else..and went back there over and over. Their kosher was filling, delicious, good value for money and came with good service. Wonderful memory
Amazing Koshary! It’s my first time eating Koshary and it’s so good! I can see why Koshary Abou Tarek is the IT restaurant in Cairo. The portion is humongous and it’s so filling. It’s the best we’ve tasted in Egypt. Love it! And you must try it if you’re in Cairo!
* My favorite place to buy koshari from, however, I don't dine in. I did it once many years ago but didn't enjoy the experience (crowded, level of cleanliness wasn't all that much back then. Not sure if they changed. I take away the food and eat at home.
The Koshary place. Sells only that but it tastes very good. One small portion is filling enough for an adult. Tastes far better than all other places i tasted Koshary. Caution about the spicy sauce, it is indeed very spicy! 🔥🔥
You have to pay in advance .. very yummy traditional Egyptian koshary.. the hot sauce is really hot so be careful.. the small plate is not as small as you think it's quite good .. almost zero parking so go there in an uber and don't walk around this area
Hands down the best koshari in Cairo and hence the world!! We all went for the large size and added lots of garlic and chilli. Amazing service but the place could be a little spruced up
This is a simple, affordable and filling dish. The small size is really not small. This dish doesnt have any meat. The location is in downtown and it is always full but there is no wait as the food is already prep and ready to go. You pay first, they give you a ticket and you go collect your food
We were told it has the best koshary in town. Actually the place has only this dish. It was tasty but nothing that blew my mind. The place was filled with locals and tourists. The prices were low and the waiters were polite.
Great food. The flavor is excellent. Add more spice if you would like. It is up to you. Paid 37 Egyptian Pounds for a 7-UP and a large bowl.
Love kushary, then visit this one. The only branch in Cairo and very famous.
Execellent Egyptian food Koshary, excellent service and friendly staff. Very much liked it
Best koshari experience I have always around the world
Koshary is a treat! I come here often with my Egyptian boyfriend! Actually, we met HERE of all places! Can you believe it??
This place serves one of thing. Get that thing! Its pasta, tomato sauce, lentils, fried onions, and other goodness. It's hearty, the staff is friendly, and it's served quickly. Make it as spicy (or not) as you want by the chili paste on the table!
Strangely appetizing with its mixture of fried onions, noodles, pasta, rice and beans. Very friendly service by their staffs, any better they’ll start feeding me. Will bash through the slums to eat here again!
